Seven Hills North Public School is an historic school in modern buildings. It was built in 1883 and rebuilt in 2003. It is still affectionately known as the "country school in the middle of the city". This is due to its small size in relation to the surrounding schools, its wonderful playground of grass and trees and its "family" atmosphere. This atmosphere, which is created by a supportive community partnership between students, teachers and parents, is very often commented upon by visiting teachers and parents whose children have transferred from other schools.
The school's mission is to provide all students with the opportunity to achieve their personal best in a supportive and caring school environment. To achieve this the school is committed to: providing a balance of academic, cultural, sporting and social programs; promoting the welfare and development of our students through a comprehensive student welfare policy; ensuring a strong partnership exists between the community and the school; and empowering students to take increasing responsibility for their own actions and learning. There is a parent organised 'before and after school care" called Seven Hills North Out Of School Hour (SHNOOSH) and also vacation care is available.
